We strongly recommend that your helmet have a recent U.S. DOT approval or a Snell certification for either motorcycles, karting, or competitive automotive sport. Look for labels or decals affixed inside the helmet under the padding or a fabric label sewn into the straps.
Regardless, the helmet must not:
- have been produced prior to 1985; or
- have cracks in its exterior; or
- be missing straps, buckles, or padding; or
- have been dropped.
We remind you that this is for your own protection (and remember that you will be signing a waiver holding us harmless).
