Do I have to go to the skid pad?

Our driving school is now called Enhanced Driving Synergy and current info

We strongly encourage all our participants to go to the skid pad during their scheduled times. And we invite our drivers to go for extra skid pad time when they are not doing anything else during the day.
We feel that the skid pad sessions contribute a great deal to one's skill set. It is here that you may safely lose control of your vehicle and then try to get it back. Feeling massive understeer or oversteer on the skid pad is good; feeling that on the track at speed could be very bad... We believe that a driver develops the rapid responses to quickly handle a vehicle, an excellent simulation of the rapid input you may need to deploy in an emergency.
We could go on about the merits of the skid pad. Simply, it is very important.
SCC is committed to offering skid pad training to help you be a better, safer driver.
