Club members Ken Pavri and John Burnet (from the Blind and Deaf Motorsport team) will provide a first-hand account of their experiences at Targa Newfoundland 2007.

Winter is just around the corner, and no car is better designed for the coldest season than a Saab. Rob Werstroh, GM of Queensway Saturn Saab Hummer, will be sharing with us his experiences at the Saab Ice Experience earlier this year.

Please be aware that there are a very limited number of places left for this Friday’s EDS. There are places left for Advanced and Intermediate drivers, and a very limited number of places for Beginners. If you or someone you know want to make a last minute registration, you still have time but you have to get your registration and payment in by end of day Tuesday October 2nd. Remaining spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis based on full payment and submission of registration forms.

Also note that discounted accommodation is available at the nearby Best Western Belleville (Phone: 613-969-1112) if you want to travel to the track the night before the school. A special rate of $94 is available if you mention that you are going to our driving school event at Shannonville. The special rate is not available for web and 800 number bookings. The hotel is 23km (18 minutes drive) from the track.

John and Ken have returned from The Rock with a First In Class award as well as a Completion Medal. More pics and details will be posted soon on their Targa website.

Christian Skovbjerg and Scott Hutchings will be providing a tour of Canada's newest Saab-specialist automotive repair facility. Christian will also provide us with insights into his 25-year journey that has seen him become a Saab Master Technician, a trainer at Saab HQ in Trollhättan, and most recently the founder of Aktive Motors.
