Mosport Driver Development Centre
For many years, the Saab Owners' Club of Canada Inc. (SOCCI) has used Shannonville Motorsport Park. And we will continue to do so. However, we're spreading our wings a little bit and using other good training or teaching tracks in the province.
The Driver Development Centre (DDC) track is part of the Mosport International Raceway (MIR) facility. Originally used as a 1 kilometer go-kart track, the track underwent a major expansion, effectively doubling the length. It is now the home of the Bridgestone Firestone Racing Academy (formerly located at Shannonville). It can be used in a wide variety of configurations offering a driver a challenging learning experience. The DDC is also known as the Mosport Kart Track.
Beside the track is a very large exercise area (780' by 70') which doubles as parking lot. At the north end of this paved surface is a very large circular skid pad (210' in diameter).
The Mosport facility is located north of Bowmanville and east of Oshawa.
We've assembled useful information about the Driver Development Centre (DDC) track on the Mosport International Raceway property: directions, location of nearby services, and driver "hot lap" descriptions.

If you are new to driving schools, see the FAQ section. If you've taken driving schools but you've never been to Mosport (or it's been a long time), you'll find this information useful. This applies to instructors as well...
