Toronto Motorsports Park
The Toronto Motorsports Park (TMP) is a relatively new road course in Ontario. New in a sense... The road course proper is the most recent addition to this famous facility, formerly know as Cayuga, a popular site of NHRA drag racing. The track can be configured as two smaller circuits of 1.2 and 1.8 km each or one large 3.0 km, 11-turn circuit.
It is very flat, technical track (not unlike Shannonville) with few barriers or guardrails. It is an excellent, safe learning environment for those feeling somewhat hesitant about high-performance driving. The track design offers good run-off room and excellent sight-lines. There is a separate area for exercises.
Conversely, the course has ample straights, two are very long, challenging large and small chicanes, tight 90 degree and sweeping high-speed turns, making it fun for seasoned drivers.
TMP is located near Cayuga, just south of Hamilton.
Track telephone number: 905-772-0303.
Office telephone: 416-291-4561.
Here's some useful information about TMP: directions, location of nearby services, and driver "hot lap" descriptions.
If you need to arrange hotel or bed & breakfast accommodation the track, see the relevant page, with links to local community pages. The weather forecast is available from Environment Canada.
